  Yes the Catholic church painted the bill in a very unfavorable light and got their followers to write and email a protest. It worked pretty good and I'm sure the WT is happy.

  my judicial committee was set for monday.

  the message says to call back asap and that he loves me, but he said it like "i love ya, girl" he never has said that to me like that.

  so, i call back and he says i have been a hard person to get a hold of and that confused me because i had not received any calls from him.

  So your dad was contacted by the elders when they couldn't get you to pick up the phone. And he pitched in and helped. Sad and somewhat predictable. Probably made him feel a little more righteous.

  Even if you expect it, it still can sting. Hope your life goes better from now on.

  Angels are Neuter Gender According to JW`s

  what about the bible ,does that agree with the jw theology ?.

  therefore angels are sexless ,yet we find in the bible on a few occasions where they have lusted after women ,taken a mans form and had sex with women.. .on one occasion producing hybrids half human half angel.. on other occasions they just wanted to satisfy their sexual desires.?

  There's been quite a few barrel chested muscle sprouting angels that are decidedly male in the pages of the WT. If I remember right, the WT of course has explained it, as simply the bible using the male gender to represent authority. Because God is male right? He's the big authority figure. For that matter, why did Jesus have to be born a male?

  The problem with movies this last decade or so

  actually, i think i've discovered two issues.. the first is that there are too many soft reboots, remakes and re-imaginings.

  don't get me wrong, hollywood has always done remakes and some remakes work very well.

  the fly (1986) and the thing (1982) are actually remakes/re-imaginings of the original 50s films.

  I gave up on the Star Wars saga on the third movie (don't ask me what "episode" it is) because of Lucas dissing his own movie with Tarzan yells by Chewbacca, ewoks and storm troopers that couldn't hit the ground if they aimed for it.

  I did like the remake of "The Thing" - totally twisted my brain with the effects but I also like the cast. I hate remakes that rely on effects, gore, sex and empty talk. That being said, I used to watch a lot of movies but for the most part, I like watching mindless monsters and big illogical peopleusingrobots movies now that I don't expect much out of, but I love the visuals and hopefully some funny lines.

  i am having trouble locating what is the 1914 prophecy?

  jw.org states that the jw's accurately predicted the events of 1914, but do not indicate what the predictions were, or the specific fulfillments.

  what do jw's think they are (predictions/fulfillments)?

  There is an online archive of the early watchtowers/golden age/awakes. In 1916 there was a Questions from the Readers entry regarding the baptizing of people after 1914. Since the followers were told that the "rapture" was going to occur in 1914, that was the cut off date to get baptized. 1914 having come and gone without anyone going to heaven, the query was what to do about people wanting to get baptized now?

  So it was a definite date promoted by the WT. It's plain from the after effects.

  if so, you have lived your entire life during “the last days” of the present system of things.. because so much time has passed since 1914, we must now be living in the last of “the last days.”.

  That would be amazing if you were born anywhere near 1914 cause you'd be over a hundred. 1929 would give you a ninety year old. Might as well say - if you have been born after the year 607 bce, you will have noticed that the world is getting worse. Because things are so bad, we must now be living in the time of the end.

  the october 2019 study edition, speaking of the last days after the governments destroy all religion except jws:.

  at some point, the people whose re-ligions were destroyed may resent thefact that jehovah’s witnesses keep prac-ticing their religion.

  we can only imag-ine the uproar that this might create, in-cluding on social media.

  when persons are in great danger from a source that they do not suspect or are being misled by those they consider their friends, is it an unkindness to warn them?

  they may prefer not to believe the warning.

  they may even resent it.

  Why do CO's refuse to strip Elders of their position?

  in several congregations i attended many elders were downright evil and flat out drunk with power.. many times i personally knew of things done by them that would have been a disfellowshipping offense had they not been elders.

  and even though many times these issues and spiritual atrocities were reported to the co's and hq they would many times (if not all the time), get off with a mere slap on the wrist or a forced apology.. why do you believe elders are so protected?.

  my theory is the authority integrity within the congregation.

  Tenacious - that could be true but it also could be the lack of men wanting to take the position. It's been about 15 - 20 years I'm guessing that the WT has been begging/shaming men into "reaching out" They have less men wanting the responsibility and so if they kick out the crummy elders, there is no one to take their place.
